Our program utilizes ERAS® (Electronic Residency Application Service) for the application process. Please contact your medical school of graduation for ERAS® information and packet application. If you are an international medical graduate, please contact your local Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) office for more information on ERAS®. Paper applications are not accepted.

A preliminary review of each application will be made upon receipt of a complete application and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications should consist of all ERAS® materials and should include medical school transcripts, USMLE score – Part 1, and personal statement. Letters of recommendation from three board-certified U.S. surgeons who are familiar with your work are required. The Dean’s letter is not required for initial review.

Our application deadline is over. After the Selection Committee has reviewed your completed file, and if you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted through ERAS to select a date for your interview. Please be sure to include your e-mail address and telephone number as part of your ERAS® application.

We have three interview dates. These are scheduled for Saturday, October 20, Saturday, November 3, and Saturday, November 10, 2018. Please note, one of these dates will be deleted prior to the application deadline.

Each interview date begins with a Friday evening reception. This is an opportunity for the applicants to meet the residents and faculty informally. The interviews are held on Saturday morning. Dr. Gerald L. Andriole (Chief of the Division of Urologic Surgery) and Dr. Erica Traxel (Urology Program Director) will present an overview of the training program. Afterward, applicants will have several interviews over a 2.5 hour period.

At the conclusion of the interviews, applicants will be given a tour of the facilities including the hospitals and research buildings. A trolley tour of St. Louis (including lunch) will follow. The day concludes at approximately 3 p.m.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Urology Program Coordinator, Kellie Hunter, at 314-362-8213 or e-mail at kelliehunter@wustl.edu.
