Hospitals and Outpatient Clinics
All of the faculty and vascular surgery residents participate in patient care in three different locations: (1) Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine Campus (BJH/WU) (north and south campuses, including the Center for Advanced Medicine [CAM] where the outpatient vascular surgery clinic is located), (2) St. Louis Children’s Hospital and (3) Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital (BJ West). Vascular Surgery care at the John Cochran Veterans Administration Hospital is provided by general surgery residents under the supervision of Drs. John Curci and Kathleen Raman. Vascular surgery fellows do not care for any patients at the Veterans Administration Hospital. Clinics are held at both the CAM and BJ West.
Noninvasive Vascular Diagnostic Laboratory
The Vascular Laboratory is owned and operated by the Department of Surgery at Washington University School of Medicine. Drs. Gregorio Sicard and Brian Rubin (co-directors) monitor the clinical and educational components, as well as overseeing the technicians employed in the clinical vascular laboratory. Vascular laboratory studies (more than 16,000 in FY 2011) are done in four locations – at the CAM, BJH, BJ West and South County Office.
