Dr. Lawton specializes in cardiac surgery, coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) (on- and off-pump), beating heart surgery and valve surgery.

Other areas of clinical interest include coronary artery revascularization, valve repair and replacement, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, myocardial preservation, and women and heart disease.
